Women don’t talk about it because she fears to be laughed at or will be judged being unattractive to her husband. As a result it hardly reaches to the door of the doctor or any sex therapist.
What Is Low Libido?
Libido or more commonly called ‘sex drive’ is the desire to engage in sexual activity. When the sexual desire lowers down, it is said to be low libido. Low libido is either distressing or something you have automatically chosen to live with. There are few men who don’t engage in sexual activity with their wives or partners much and are not at all unhappy with it. But for most, it is a horrific tale. Not being able to satisfy your partner or yourself sexually is the worst thing most men can ever experience.
What Are The Causes Of Low Libido In Men?
There are few possible reasons why men experience or develops low libido. They are:-

When a person is in depressive state of mind, nothing seems good for him. He tends to remain sad and unfocused. It affects everything, even sex. He remains in deep sorrow and loses his interest in any sexual activity.
Alcohol Or Drugs
Consumption of excess alcohol and drugs causes fatigue and affects your nervous system. They also hamper the pituitary gland and thus reduce the level of testosterone in a man. Gradually the man faces the chronic case of low libido.
Lack Of Sleep
Sex is related to both mental and physical health. If you are tired then your body won’t give in to perform any physical activity. So a good sleep is always necessary. Lack of sleep cause the rise of cortisol in your body and reduces the level of testosterone.
There are some medicines which hampers your sexual health. Medicines for heart diseases, high blood pressure, diabetes etc contains high level of nitrate that reduces the flow of blood in your sexual organ and reduces libido.
It is the pituitary gland that releases testosterone in your body. If any problem arises in the pituitary gland, the level of the testosterone reduces. Some times the level of oestrogen increases due to liver problem. It is the function of the liver to break oestrogen.
Internal injury, kidney problem or malfunction of brain causes low libido as they affect the pituitary gland directly.
