The caloric requirement of women declines further even during their old age. A woman who is above 50 years of age and is moderately active needs around 1800 calories in a day and a woman who is sedentary needs around 1600 calories. On the other hand highly active women above 50 years of age need between 2000 calories to 2200 calories every day.
